Poem 49 " Rulers made by all the Greek gods" Written by Edword
A poem written by Edword about rational thinkers & cry babies (With Reflections)
The emotional,
second class citizens
to the well considered.
Let me guess some of your best friends cry too ?
You find yourself in feelings from
time to time too,
just far apart.
And always with good reason.
It’s smart,
you only use your heart to live.
hoisted on your neck somehow
like the pyramids,
you balance the world.
The seat of your emotions is always the best seat in the house
somehow,
You knock-off God.

My Reflections
“Rulers made by all the Greek gods” is a poem about all of us OR all of us honest enough to admit it,
We have a tendency to feel as if the measure by which we estimate the validity of others emotions is fair, reasonable and at all times well thought out.
It’s like “if I don’t think your feelings are valid it’s because they are not, trust me, I checked” lool.
What are the odds that every time you feel aggrieved ‘they’ are wrong and every time ‘they’ feel aggrieved you are right ? let me tell you, they aren’t in your favour.
As I wrote on this topic I thought about where our feelings reside, and how inextricably linked they are to our past experiences, even if you find yourself to be one of the logical ones, your feelings are compromised in a unique way by your scars both seen and even worse, unseen.
As the good poet above puts it above (ha) “if the seat of your emotions is always the best seat in the house
somehow,
You knock-off God.”
Thanks for showing up! I hope you enjoyed reading my poem and my reflections as much as I enjoyed writing it. As always, I would love to hear your thoughts. Until next time, with Love, Edword <3
